Ecologistas en Acción denuncia el aire contaminado de ocho colegios madrileños
La organización instaló ocho medidores y en todos ellos los valores de dióxido de nitrógeno es cuatro veces superior a los recomendados por la OMS.
Ecologistas en Acción (EA) ha denunciado este jueves que en ocho colegios de Madrid se han registrado unas cifras de contaminación que son “alarmantes”, en comparación a las recomendaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).
La organización colocó el pasado mes de febrero, durante tres semanas, ocho medidores en varios colegios de la capital española y en el informe han reflejado que “todos los colegios han registrado valores de dióxido de nitrógeno superiores a los 40 microgramos por metro cúbico” fijados por la Directiva Europa de Calidad del Aire.
Ecologistas en Acción ha informado que el dato también es “cuatro veces superior a las recomendadas por la OMS” y ha señalado que, en otro informe publicado en febrero de este año, la mitad de los colegios de Madrid y Barcelona están “rodeados de niveles de contaminación superiores a los permitidos por la ley”.
“Casi 200.000 niñas y niños menores de 12 años acuden a un colegio de Madrid o de Barcelona donde los niveles de contaminación están por encima de los permitidos”, ha explicado la organización en su último análisis.
El responsable estatal de calidad del aire de Ecologistas en Acción, Juan Bárcena, ha explicado, en declaraciones recogidas por Europa Press, que los resultados que se han obtenido son “coherentes” con las cifras de contaminación registradas en todo Madrid.
El colegio en el que se respira una mayor cantidad de aire contaminado es el de Divino Maestro, situado junto a la A-5, donde se han alcanzado una media de 82 μg/m3.
El segundo con más aire contaminado ha sido el colegio San Viator, cerca de la plaza Elíptica, con valores cercanos a los 71 μg/m3, seguido al de nuestra señora de las Delicias, con 61 μg/m3, el centro Alberto Alcocer de Canillejas, con 60 μg/m3y el Legado Crespo, con 54 μg/m3.
El resto de centros son el Colegio Religiosas Concepcionistas, en la calle Princesa, con 49 μg/m3, la Escuela Infantil Los Ángeles, en Bravo Murillo, con 48 μg/m3, y el CEIP Bravo Murillo, con 42 μg/m3.
